Large SGI transaction. We are selling a plot of land in Koszalin for the construction of a shopping centre.

SGI has signed a land sale agreement with Leroy Merlin. The transaction concerns a plot of over 4 hectares in Koszalin. It is planned to build, among other things, DIY and home furnishing stores on this site.

SGI specializes in building high-quality apartments in attractive locations in Warsaw. Historically, however, the company originates from northwestern Poland, hence SGI’s involvement in land in Koszalin.

Solid investment experience

“The sale of the plot in Koszalin by SGI to Leroy Merlin shows that our over 20 years of experience is not based solely on residential real estate activities but is much broader. We are also active in the commercial and retail real estate sectors, including at the pre-development stage. The transaction was so complex that the entire process of arrangements, including obtaining a building permit, took four years. Now that all formalities have been completed, the investment can move to the next phase,” says Robert Stachowiak, CEO of SGI.

Excellent location for residents

The plot is located in Koszalin, directly at the junction of the S6 expressway, which connects Szczecin with the Tricity, and Władysława IV Street, the main exit road to the seaside.

“All our investments are characterized by excellent locations and thus easy connections with nearby districts and even suburbs. This was also true for the plot in Koszalin. Such a good location for the future shopping center will benefit residents, who will be able to easily reach it to take advantage of the new DIY and home furnishing store offerings,” adds Robert Stachowiak, CEO of SGI.

“We are satisfied that our project is moving so dynamically to the next stage of implementation. It is now in the final stretch before the grand opening and welcoming the first customers of this amazing retail complex in Q1 2024. We are also very pleased with the commercialization of the facility. It resulted in a perfectly tailored retail offering, which was fully secured already a year before the opening,” says Tomasz Szewczyk, Managing Partner at Acteeum Central Europe.

“I am pleased that we finalized the transaction and that in the near future we will open a store where we can respond to the needs of residents of Koszalin and the surrounding area. At Leroy Merlin, our customers will find materials for construction, renovation, and decoration of homes and gardens. Each of them will also be able to take advantage of a wide range of design and installation services,” says Rafał Krzepkowski, Development Director at Leroy Merlin Poland.

According to the investors’ plans — Acteeum, Leroy Merlin, and Agata Meble — the new Koszalin Power Center shopping center, with an area of 38,000 m², is scheduled to be built in Q1 2024. The center will include, among others, a standalone Leroy Merlin store and an Agata Meble store.
